Best Trash Waste Collection Information

Waste collection days for Windfern Forest Utility District Residents are every Monday and Thursday.

Items not accepted by Best Trash:

  • Dirt
  • Mulch, sod
  • Rocks, bricks, tile, concrete
  • Tires, car batteries
  • Motor oil, cooking oil
  • CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS , waste generated by a contractor, or any material or items deemed hazardous materials.

There is no service on the following holidays:

  • New Year's Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas

Recycling is every Monday

Here is a list of all the items that Best Trash accepts for recycling. All recycled items should be dry, empty, clean, and loose.

  • Paper
    Newspapers and inserts, magazines, catalogs, junk mail, envelopes, file folders, white and colored office or computer paper, corrugated cardboard, cereal and gift boxes, paper bags, phone books, wrapping paper, milk cartons, juice cartons, wax-coated boxes, cardboard boxes.
  • Metal
    Aluminum cans, aluminum foil, aluminum foil plates and serving containers, metal food cans and can lids, pots, and pans.
  • Glass
    Clear and colored.
  • Plastic
    Plastic bottles, jars, tubs, and buckets (such as soda, water, milk, juice, liquor, shampoo, detergent, condiments, salad dressing, yogurt, margarine, pet food, etc.).

Items not accepted in recycling:

  • Tree Branches, grass, leaves, and foliage
  • Clothes and wire hangers
  • Mirrors, windows, and light bulbs
  • Batteries are not recyclable
  • Paint and solvent materials and containers

Hazardous Waste

For hazardous waste such as the following:

  • Household cleaners
  • Batteries (small to car battery size)
  • Yard products (fertilizers, pesticides, insecticides, etc.)
  • Tires (max limit 4 per household each month)
  • Items containing mercury
  • Automobile products (Gas, motor oil, CFL and fluorescent tubes, antifreeze, etc.)
  • Aerosols (except for Freon and mace)
  • Pool chemicals
  • Fire extinguishers
  • Paint and paint-related products
  • Small and BBQ-sized propane cylinders
  • Fats, Oils, and Greases (FOG)
